Pediatric Stroke Program
The mission of the Pediatric Stroke Program is to provide comprehensive and longitudinal care of children with cerebrovascular disorders and advance our knowledge of pediatric stroke through cutting edge research. The following pillars are the foundation of our program:

Clinical Care
To provide comprehensive care of children of all ages from the moment of their first presentation through their recovery and ongoing development. This includes emergency treatment and procedures, diagnostics, rehabilitation, and educational support. The acute stroke alert pathway (Pediatric Brain Attack Team) is a model for other hospitals both regionally and nationally.
Education
To provide clinical education for students, residents, fellows, and other physicians regarding all aspects of cerebrovascular disorders.
Research
To participate in basic, translational, and clinical research aimed at understanding the underlying pathophysiology of stroke and recovery in children, advancing the diagnosis and acute treatment of stroke in children, and understanding and improving recovery
Many efforts of the Pediatric Stroke Program depend on the generous support of family and friends, and we are committed to continuing to doing all that we can to helping children thrive following such an injury. Below are ways that contributions can help our program achieve its goals
